We have many activities to aid in your spiritual growth, provide fellowship opportunities and
to just have fun. Join us as often as you are able!
Two Services Now Offered - 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. on Sundays!
If you have visited Unity Christ Church in the past few months, you know we have been packed to the
rafters! Beginning on Sunday, February 7th we will offer TWO services! Children's Sunday School
will continue to take place at 11:00 a.m. but we will have nursery available at the 9:00 a.m. service for
the little ones. The music and the lesson will be the same at each service, so please join us as often
as you are able.
Fellowship Circles are Now Forming - Last Day to Join is Wed., March 3rd
Fellowship Circles are an opportunity for getting to know others in a small informal group. You can
meet for breakfast, lunch or dinner, go bowling, visit a museum, go on a boat ride, etc. However,
most people do enjoy having a pot luck meal at someone’s home or going out to eat at a restaurant.
This is a great way to meet new folks and visit with old friends too!
Here’s how it works: Each person will have the opportunity to host once or twice in a year, depending
on how many people sign up. Each group will have 10-12 people in it (eight is a good number to join
together for a meal and often a few cannot attend due to various reasons). One person will be
preselected as host. The host will select a date, time and activity for their chosen month. The host
will contact each person in their group as soon as possible about the activity. People will respond
back to the host in a timely manner so the host knows how many will attend. If you do not want to
participate on a monthly basis, you may sign up to be a substitute. The host is encouraged to call
substitutes if others in their group cannot attend.
The Coordinator (Annette Cook) will randomly select the groups and hosts for each month. If there is
a certain month you would like to act as host, you may indicate this on the sign up sheet. You may
contact me at 763-5155 or admin@unitywil.com if you have any questions.

Join the Community and Worldwide Service Ministry for a walk in the park! We are currently forming
a team to represent Unity Christ Church of Wilmington in Carolina Canine's 'Walk for Those Who
Can't.' Carolina Canines is a local non-profit organization that trains service dogs and provides them,
at no cost, to people with disabilities. Carolina Canines also provides service dogs to disabled
veterans through their military prison training program.
The 'Walk for Those Who Can't' is for people of all ages and dogs of all sizes, it's even for people
who don't have a dog. The Master of Ceremonies will be Sally Pressman and Rhoda Griffis of the
Lifetime Series "Army Wives." Everyone is invited to come early, meet the actors and get your Walk t-
shirt autographed. Food and beverages will be provided.
The walk will be held on March 27, with the opening ceremony beginning at 9:45 am and the walk
beginning at 10:00 am. The registration fee is $25.00 per person, with t-shirts and bandanas going
to the first 500 people who register. If you have any questions or would like more information, please
contact Renee Wells at 910-231-0990 or reneewells@LS3P.com. Sign up in the entryway at Unity
Christ Church to join our Team.

Flutist, Pamela Whitman - Sunday, March 14 during Worship and in Concert at 12:45 p.m.
Pamela Whitman is internationally recognized for bringing together people and cultures through her
visionary style of interdisciplinary music-making and peace-making. A descendent of great American
poet Walt Whitman, Pamela earned her degree in Flute Performance from the University of Michigan .
She has been the Principal Flutist of The Ocean City Pops Orchestra since 1989. She performs
classical, world music and original meditation music on a collection of rare flutes from around the
world, incorporating multiple creative mediums and genres. The L. A. Xpress has described her
concerts as “a unique blend of compassion, technique, style, cultural diversity and personality.”
As a producer and performer she has starred at such illustrious venues as The Brooklyn Academy of
Music; The Birendra International Convention Center in Kathmandu , Nepal ; The Colden Center,
Xinghai Concert Hall in Guangzhou , China ; The House of Blues in Hollywood and more. Her
international appearances also include performances at the Holland Festival in Amsterdam , the
International Juni Festwochen in Zurich , Maggio Musicale in Florence , Italy and a world premiere
performance of Karlheinz Stockhausen’s La Scala Production, Samstag Aus Licht (Saturday From
Light) in Milan .
Improv - Thursday, March 18 at 7:00 p.m.
Do you like to have fun and laugh? If you can simply engage in conversation, you can make other
people laugh and have the time of your life doing it! No experience necessary and there’s really
nothing to learn. We meet monthly and choose formats and themes randomly. This opportunity is
open to everyone. If you have any questions, please contact Annette at 763-5155 or
admin@unitywil.com.
‘SOUPER’ Sunday, March 21 at Noon
‘Souper’ Sundays are held on the third Sunday of the month. This is a great way to fellowship while
enjoying a hot and delicious cup of soup. Please sign up if you will prepare a soup. Finger foods
and desserts are also always welcome too!
March 27th: Saturday at 11am-2:30pm
Teacher Workshop-To include all teacher/volunteers new and veterans, my plan is to go over the
ages and development stages of children, go over classroom routines and thier importance and role
in our classrooms and Fly-up preparations. Lunch will be served and a good time had by all! This is
a great way for us to pull in "just interested" volunteers and let them know what youth ed is all about
so I'm inviting members who have let me know about their interest in participating in our Ministry yet
haven't made the next step.
The Moose is Loose Gift Basket Raffle - Sunday, March 21 at 12:30 p.m.
Phyllis Millette donated a beautiful basket filled with lots of goodies, all moose related: a soft fax
suede throw, two mugs and plates, chocolate, coffee, blueberry pancake mix, maple syrup, a dice
game, a jazz CD, and more. Tickets are $1 or 6 for $5 and can be purchased on Sundays, before
and after worship.
Friday Night at the Movies - “10 Questions for the Dalai Lama” is a tedious title for an anything-
but-tedious film. Expertly merging the mystical and the mundane, filmmaker Rick Ray, with musician-
composer Peter Kater, presents a warm and well-rounded portrait of his subject, his Buddhist
philosophies and the painful circumstances of his exile to a modest monastery in Dharamsala, India.
Please join us for a spiritually inspiring movie and discussion following the film.
NOT RATED
Popcorn and water available.
Love offering.

8639 for more information.
A Course in Miracles - Fridays and Sundays
A Course In Miracles teaches a thought system – a way of seeing and understanding—based on love
and oneness with Spirit and with each other, as contrasted with the thought system the world teaches
which is based on fear and separation. The Course shows how our human (or ego) minds resists
these ideas because of our attachment to our separate bodies and, therefore, how we are in
competition with each other.
One group meets on Sunday evenings 7:00-8:30 in the parlor. A second (new) group meets on
Friday mornings from 11:00—Noon in the Uniteen room in the Children’s area. We read the text
together and discuss the material. We welcome you to visit to see if this is for you. The book also
includes a workbook section made up of daily lessons. For more information contact Penelope
Morningstar about the Sunday group and John Geiger (686-2091) about the Friday group.
